NXP SmartMX Secures New Electronic ID Cards in Jordan

State-of-the-art contactless biometric cards will increase national security, enhance social and economic eServices.

NXP Semiconductors N.V. announced that The Civil Status and Passports Department (CSPD) in Jordan has chosen NXP’s secure SmartMX2 microcontroller for its new contactless citizen ID card.
